New Accessibility label for buildings

Launched by Certivéa, a subsidiary of the CSTB Group, in the first quarter of 2017, the Accessibility label aims to help the designers and owners of nonresidential buildings to better integrate the needs of all users. It emphasizes elements of universal design such as ease of access, ease of use, safety, security, visual and acoustic comfort. Buildings so designed offer the same configurations and facilities for all, in a nondiscriminatory way. This label is for stakeholders in buildings under construction or renovation or in use.

For products, the CSTB also offers certification to support accessibility and independence of vulnerable groups in various types of residences. The QB mark applies to ramps and handrails.
