The CSTB helps create sustainable cities in China

The CSTB is involved in developing sustainable cities in China. In 2017, it signed the first partnership with the Chinese Society for Urban Studies (CSUS) in Beijing to provide it with advice and cooperation about sustainable cities. The China Eco-City Academy (CECA), in charge of implementing the national urban development policy, also joined with the CSTB. Objective: work together to develop a dozen pilot eco-cities. Five communities are already engaged in this process to improve quality of life, environmental protection and economic development by participating in urban development workshops driven by the CSTB with the support of the CECA. At the 14th edition of the International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building in Zhuhai, China, on April 2, 2018, five cities were named pilot Sino-French Eco-cities. At the same time, they received pilot HQE development certification, issued by Cerway.
