Conference: embracing young people in low-income neighborhoods
Development in low-income neighborhoods constitutes a major concern for elected representatives, citizens and community stakeholders. To guide public policy in this area, the CSTB seeks to gain a bettering understand of residents in these areas, especially young people in the 16–25 age group. In October 2014, Joëlle Bordet, researcher in the Economics and Social Sciences Department of the CSTB, and Philippe Gutton, psychoanalyst, published the book, “_Adolescence et idéal démocratique: Accueillir les jeunes des quartiers populaires_” [Adolescence and the democratic ideal: embracing young people in low-income neighborhoods].
