CNRS and the CSTB are forging a 5-year interdisciplinary research partnership

On March 5, Antoine Petit, CEO of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and Étienne Crépon, president of the Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB), signed a framework agreement for research.

The two institutions are combining their expertise, skills and know-how in three fundamental specialist areas to envision what the future holds for buildings and cities: engineering, digital technologies and the humanities/social sciences.

This five-year partnership is part of a comprehensive, transdisciplinary research approach to the emerging technical, economic and societal challenges facing construction and urban planning.
