With this first CSR report, structured around three major challenges, the CSTB aims to share information about its CSR initiatives - those pertaining to its missions and to its internal operations - and its flagship projects in 2020.
The health crisis affecting the entire planet has radically changed our perception of the world, accelerating a movement that was already underway and raising society’s expectations. Driven by its determination to meet these crucial challenges, the CSTB is mobilizing all of its skills to help engineer solutions fit for this task.
The overhaul of research, initiated by the CSTB in 2019, reaffirms its ambitions in four strategic areas of focus:
- "Buildings and neighborhoods for living well together"
- "Buildings and cities facing climate change"
- "Innovation and improving the reliability of construction and renovation"
- "Circular economy and building resources"
An introduction to these issues by the President, the Delegate General Director and the Deputy CEO in charge of Research and Development of the CSTB, and a presentation of emblematic 2020 projects and CSR initiatives, provide an overview of the CSTB’s progress in the service of its clients and partners, its contributions to the objectives of sustainable development and prospects for the future.
