Online service of the CSTB: SED Express won a prize in the French Construction Awards 2018, organized on September 12, 2018 by Batiactu in partnership with the SMA Group. Among the innovative projects presented at this competition, the SED Express (Building Performance Simulation, or BPS) service won the award for “Digital Tools and Solutions for Construction Sites”. The CSTB is one of 21 winners out of 140 participating projects, proof that the sector is actively moving into the future.

SED Express (Building Performance Simulation, or BPS) enables all stakeholders of the construction industry – engineers in consulting firms, architects, project owners and builders – to obtain a Building Performance Simulation, in just a few clicks! This service provides a cost-optimized study, rich in lessons on the energy performance of a building in real-life conditions (occupation, weather). With SED Express, its performance levels can also be compared with those of similar buildings in France (consumption, performance of the building envelope and of the energy systems, etc.).
This online service is available through the Batipédia portal of the CSTB.
