The European Laboratory of Building Acoustics of the CSTB, in Champs-sur-Marne, was equipped in 2016 with innovative systems that reduce the time needed to conduct acoustic tests on door and window frames. It now handles up to 20 test configurations per day.

A user-friendly scale-model system for customized tests (if the test specimen is a non-standard size or requires sealed implementation). This allows removing the models from the molds, so the masonry time required to make them is reduced. Furthermore, the models can be kept between two non-consecutive test campaigns.

An installation robot for handling door and window frames and glazing. It facilitates the work of the technicians who install the configurations before the acoustic testing and saves a significant amount of time.
