Qualiconsult and the CSTB, which are both committed to innovation as a tool in the digital transition, have just signed a partnership agreement to link technical inspection methods to digital models. A major contributor to technical inspection in France, Qualiconsult would like to integrate BIM into its practices. Thanks to this agreement, Qualiconsult will benefit from the multiscale digital expertise (component - building - city) of the CSTB Carnot Institute which supports and guides companies through research to improve the quality and safety of buildings.

This partnership includes an experimental research phase, initiated in 2016 under full-scale conditions, through an emblematic project: the construction of the new ENS de Cachan building in Saclay (Paris region). Designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, this project won a BIM Gold Trophy in September 2015 and construction will soon be launched.

This work offered the opportunity to test the combination of BIM with technical inspection methods, which represents a major advancement in the deployment of digital technologies on the French market and the improvement of information exchange between stakeholders.
