The Metropolitan Area of Grenoble and the CSTB begin a Research & Development partnership. On January 16, 2018, Étienne Crépon, president of the CSTB, and Christophe Ferrari, president of the Metropolitan Area, signed a 3-year partnership agreement in Grenoble.

With plans encompassing strategic subjects for the local area, such as the renovation of the thermal insulation of residential buildings, urban lighting, air quality and the circular economy, this partnership is a key component in the strategy for energy transformation and development of Grenoble-Alpes Métropole. In connection with the CSTB’s research objectives, it will also contribute to furthering knowledge so that metropolitan areas can attain their goals for the energy and digital transitions.
