Amiens – June 30, 2015: The CoDEM (Sustainable Construction and Eco-Materials), a certified “Green Building Facility” based in Picardy, and the Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB) are launching the Batlab initiative to support innovative VSEs/SMEs in the construction sector in Normandy, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy.

This is the sixth initiative set up as part of the National Support Network (RNA) for VSEs/SMEs in these regions. This network is deployed by the CSTB with its regional partners to facilitate the emergence of efficient and reliable innovations for the market.

An advisory, information and support service will be established to streamline the various stages of the innovation process (research, technical assessment, search for financial assistance, etc.) and contribute to the competitiveness of VSEs/SMEs in Normandy, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy.

“It is a smart bet,” says Sylvia Pinel, French Minister for Housing, Regional Equality and Rural Affairs, to the entire construction sector “because, by boosting creativity and innovation, we can improve the quality of life for residents, increase the technical excellence of our buildings and keep construction costs under control.”
