PHI chamber

Evaluation of the flanking transmission of different elements

It consists of two adjacent rooms separated by a wall having a very high acoustic attenuation. The position is flexible to deal with three kinds of tests : side insulation, ceiling insulation and technical side floor insulation of a couple of exhaust inlets. Both rooms are compliant with the EN ISO 10848-2 standard.

This chamber is designed to evaluate all types of acoustic ceiling, raised floor and exhaust valve.

The assessment is made with respect to the airborne noise (NF EN ISO 10848-2 and NF E 51-701) and impact sound for raised floors (NF EN ISO 10848-2 )

Main features :

  • The testing surface for ceilings and raised floors is approximately 47 m²
