A first ETA for rebar anchoring

Tests were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the EOTA Technical Report 023 (TR023) in the CSTB’s anchor systems laboratory. These tests were used to evaluate specific bond conditions for high bond reinforcement used with bedding resins, according to two drilling processes: concrete drill with add on carbide tips and diamond coring. They also considered the effect of particular usage conditions (for example long-term loading, long anchor length or low temperature injection).

Rebar anchoring processes assure the transfer of forces between two parts of concrete structures. The performances given in the ETA are input performances for a calculation made according to Eurocode 2.
